Paradis Plage Bans Single-Use Plastic

Paradis Plage Bans Single-Use Plastic

Paradis Plage in Agadir, Morocco's first eco-resort has become the first hotel in Morocco to ban all single-use plastic.

The multi-award winning retreat continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in a country where eco-friendly practices are difficult to implement. In addition to banning all single-use plastics the resort's eco-friendly operations also include:

  • Having a recycled water irrigation system
  • Sourcing all produce from local and organic sources
  • Implementing a waste management scheme
  • Offering exclusive eco-friendly natural beauty products

In recognition of their commitment to running an environmentally-friendly operation, Paradis Plage has been awarded the Green Key label for 7 years in a row since 2016.

Speaking on this latest development, Mr Elmerkkaoui, Director of the hotel says

"It's a constant effort and a challenge, but we believe this is the direction we need to follow. We strive to be the best in what we do, and we understand that our guests' value not only the health and wellbeing experience we offer, but also the eco-friendly approach of many aspects of the Resort, from purchasing local organic produce, to the use of natural beauty products or water irrigation systems with recycled water. Banning single-use plastics just made sense to us as the next step forward."

With a range of yoga, fitness, surfing and even family retreats available, Paradis Plage is a fantastic resort choice for those looking to have an eco-friendly wellness holiday
